The goal

  • a 2d game engine
  • grid/tile based
  • grid based (g.e. rogue-like)/free movement
  • multiple levels
  • persistent items – a separate layer of items/objects/walls etc. that is updatable, based on the circumstances – e.g. a special ‘one-off’ item is collected, it shouldn’t be added again when the level/scene is reloaded – these items MAY be transferred to player, other NPCs or removed altogether (a destroyed wall etc.)
  • generative/semi-generative elements
  • game states to maknage game scenes/levels
